Okay, Gobli, I'll guide you through this.

You'll notice a heart and leaf in the top left corner.
(HUD POINTER)

This is your health and magic meter. If your health
reaches 0, you lose. Your magic is needed to perform
skills.

On the top right corner, you'll see your menu. Cycle
through it with L1 & R1. You set the menu to what you
want to do in battle.

Okay, let's try a basic attack.
Press the [] button

Good, again.

One more time.

Okay. Attacking is required to deplete enemies health.
You can't win a battle by not attacking of some sort.

Okay, the hero is about to attack you.
Press R1

Notice that your menu shows defend instead of attack.
When defending, your defense is increased for 1 second.

Press the [] button

Good!

Oh, he depleted quite a bit of your HP.
Press R1 again.

Now you can use Cure from your menu.
Press the [] button.

Good! When using magic, you will be stationary
for a while, depending on the magic. After it's
done casting, you will perform the magic, and your
mana will be depleted.

Magic regains itself after some time out on the
battle field. If you need HP quick, run away
from the enemies, defend, and wait for your MP to come
back.

Ok, your HP is back. Now the Hero is going to do his
signiature move, Sword Rain.
Press L1

Press [] to defend!

Ok, you took quite a bit of damage, but your MP isn't
fully back, defend again!

Oh, you lost. It's ok, though. you were suppose to lose
to the Heroes. In real battles against other monsters,
try not to lose!
